CONGRESS IN RECESS ...

Normally these legislative updates focus on Congressional legislation. However, Congress is in recess until after the election. Being a prolific writer I just had to put in my two cents worth this week and the Internet travel site Orbitz has given me a great deal of material to have a gay time with.

Orbitz Gives $100 Off On Round Trip Air - Only If Your Are Gay!

Yes, you read that right. This discount is not for married folks with kids.  This discount is not for single straight guys and gals. The only way you can get the $100 off on a round trip airline ticket is to sign up on the Orbitz  “Gay Micro-Site.”

I am going to furnish you with the actual site address to get the $100 off coupon plus two more big discounts. Yes, I know you are not a homosexual, but why should they be the only ones to get the big discounts from a travel site owned by the major airlines? Orbitz is owned by American, Continental, Delta, Northwest and United and they are proud to promote the homosexual lifestyle and give big discounts to homosexuals who buy tickets direct from Orbitz.

The headline from their news release says it all: “Orbitz Announces Micro-Site Catering To Gay and Lesbian Travelers.”

In the first paragraph of the news release the company says, “Orbitz is the first leading online travel agency to offer permanent content and deals for the gay and lesbian travel community, which spent $1.2 billion online on travel last year.”  Mike Sands, Chief Marketing Officer at Orbitz said, “The gay community looks to the Internet when making travel plans -- 41 percent of gays and lesbians have booked online as compared to 28 percent of other travelers. We are pleased to be the first online travel company to provide gay and lesbian travelers with dedicated gay-specific travel information and deals to the destinations they visit.”

Now go check the special “gay” Orbitz Internet site at   http://clients.eprize.net/orbitz/coupon/

Here you can sign up for a coupon worth $100 off domestic air PLUS a coupon good for $100 off International travel PLUS 15% off at Lufthansa.. The domestic coupon is good for all Delta flights and the International coupon for all United flights.

Orbitz is hiding these deals from their non-homosexual clientele. However, Orbitz cannot refuse to give you one of these because you are straight. So, you can use the coupons. On the other hand this may disgust you so much that, like me, you will never buy a ticket from Orbitz again. Or, you could use the coupon and then never buy from Orbitz again. Just a thought.

(SIDE NOTE: The media has made virtually no mention of the Orbitz promotion of the Gay “lifestyle.” On the other hand the Detroit Free Press and other major media outlets is bashing General Motors because its Chevrolet Division is sponsoring a Christian concert tour. RELIGIOUS FREEDOM COALITION RESPONDS TO "GODLESS MARCH". So called “Godless March on Washington” to be held November 2nd ......

The Religious Freedom Coalition is about more than legislation. If it has to do with the social conservative cause in the United States the Religious Freedom Coalition is probably involved in some way. That is why the Religious Freedom Coalition plans an aggressive campaign to challenge the “Godless Americans March on Washington” to be held in DC on November 2, 2002.

The “Godless Americans March” includes such groups as Atheists Anonymous, Freedom from Religion, Christians vs. Atheists Club, Queers For Racial & Economic Justice, Maggot Punks and United Satanic Converine. (See other godless groups http://www.godlessamericans.org/organizations.shtml). The march will start at 11:00AM,  proceed down the Capitol Mall, and end on 3rd Street for a rally until 2:00PM.

Their entire event and all of their press releases are based on the lie that there are 30,000,000 ‘godless’ Americans. Their source for this claim is the American Religious Identification Survey by City University of New York which states that there are 902,000 atheists. Then the atheists go on to claim that the 27,000,000 Americans who are not part of an organized religion are ‘their’ people. Atheists just can’t be truthful; they twist things.

The Religious Freedom Coalition will run newspaper advertisements the day before and the day of the atheist event, pointing out to them the fallacies of their beliefs and calling upon them to give up their sinful secular lives and repent of their sin.

The Religious Freedom Coalition newspaper ads compare atheist and other godless views to those of Satanists, whose creed is, “Do what you wilt shall be the only law.” THE TEXT OF OUR ADVERTISMENT ADDRESSED TO THE GODLESS APPEARS BELOW:

ATTENTION ALL GODLESS AMERICANS
Attending the "Godless Americans March on Washington"

Atheism is a system of sin denial. Godless people deny Him because they decry and violate His laws and His love.

The tenets of atheism, secularism, Satanism and other godless belief systems are identical.  Each individual should do as he or she pleases.

The godless claim that there is no good or evil and each person must decide for himself what is right and wrong.  The godless present their philosophy as new, declaring it for the 21st century.  Yet, it is the oldest of philosophies, first mentioned in the Bible in the book of Genesis.  It was the serpent, in tempting Eve, who said, "...your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."  For the past 6,000 years of human history the philosophy of the serpent has fought the Word of God.

Recent victories belong to the godless.  The authority of God was removed from the schools in 1963 and replaced with the logic of man.  But the self-determination of good and evil failed and has been replaced with the iron fist of government.  The Ten Commandments have been removed from the school walls and replaced by metal detectors, video cameras and window bars.  Many school systems now have their own police force, with armed guards at the door and students wearing ID's.  Children are murdering children while their teachers are forbidden to teach the difference between right and wrong.  These are your great contemporary victories - temporary victories!

The philosophies of men and their perversions are fleeting, but God is forever.  There is no longer a Roman Empire, but the cause of Christ still lives on.  There is no longer an atheist Soviet Union, but the cause of Christ still lives on, as Boris Yeltsin kissed the Bible after being sworn in as the first freely elected president of Russia.  One day the United States of America may be a thing of the past, but the Bible and the Cross of Christ will prevail then as now.

God is forever and eventually every knee shall bow to His awesome power.  Each one of us will bow to Him either in thankfulness for the eternal life we will have with Him in heaven, or we will bow in fear for the judgment of transgressions against Him and His Word.

Repent of your sin.  Put the perversions of your secular life behind you and turn to Christ.  He is your Saviour.  He is your Rescuer.  He is your Lifeboat of grace to eternal life.

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Philippians 2:9-11 (KJV)
