THE PRESIDENCY
PEACE PRIZE "A LITTLE EARLY" - The Dalai Lama, who received the Nobel Peace Prize 20 years ago for resisting Chinese oppression of the Tibetan people, said that the award to Barack Obama was "a little early." The decision to give Obama the prize came even before he took the oath of office, and was based on his promise to "undo" the George Bush presidency. But, he has actually increased the American troop strength for the first Bush war in Afghanistan and there has been no real pullback of troops in Iraq. Obama has failed to stop the nuclear ambitions of North Korea and Iran, while countries in the Middle East are buying more weapons, not fewer. But, Obama has apologized to just about every two-bit politician and dictator in the world for the very existence of our nation. Maybe that is what the Peace Prize was really for.

OBAMA BURIES JIHAD ATTACK AT FT HOOD - With the cooperation of the mainstream media, the Obama Administration is trying to hide the fact that political correctness in the military allowed the Jihad attack that killed 14 people at Ft. Hood this November. "They're stonewalling us. They won't give us anything," Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, told FoxNews.com. "They have just refused to brief Congress any further on this whole matter. Congressman John Carter, in whose district the Jihad attack occured, said, "Political correctness is killing Americans and undermining the national security of the United States." Carter has made a compeling case to stop the political correctness that ignores the dangers of radical Islam. Read his Op-ed

OBAMA NOMINEE WOULD FORCE CHURCHES TO HIRE HOMOSEXUALS - Episcopal churches may have homosexual and lesbian bishops, but churches that believe the Bible is the Word of God don't want the government to force them to hire homosexuals. Chai Feldblum is President Obama's appointee to the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission). She is a lesbian who signed a document promoting families with "more than one conjugal partner." Again and again she has stated that any "religious" enterprise (day care, school, etc) should be required to hire individuals regardless of their "sexual preferences." Americans For Truth have a lot of information on Feldblum. See group letter the Religious Freedom Coalition signed regarding Feldblum. Contact your Senator about the Feldblum confirmation.

THE CONGRESS
MEDICARE FOR EVERYONE? - Last week Senator John McCain tried, but failed, to stop Democrats from taking half a trillion dollars from Medicare to pay for Obama Care. Now Senator Harry Reid's Democrat majority in the Senate wants to add everyone over the age of 55 with preexisting conditions or insurance payments that are "too high" into Medicare.

How will this work? The famed Mayo Clinic says that it LOST $806 million dollars this year treating Medicare patients. Medicare already reimburses doctors and hospitals at BELOW cost, forcing them to raise the costs to insurance companies and individuals. Now Senator Reid and the Democrats want to add tens of millions more people to Medicare while reducing payments to doctors and hospitals even further. The government, of course, will have to take over the hospitals it puts out of business with this plan. Medicare is already a train wreck in slow motion; this concept just speeds it up.

SENATOR MAX BAUCUS AFFAIRS - Senator Baucus (D-MT), whose committee is in charge of the Obama Care bill, acknowledged a relationship with his staffer Melodee Hanes at a time he had nominated her as a US Attorney. It now appears that he also gave her a big raise the year the affair began and that she was negotiating on the Senator's behalf, as an associate of his divorce attorney, even before his wife was informed that a divorce was in the works. The Senator had time for all this, but he doesn't have time to read the Health Reform bill. He actually said that if negotiators had worked something out, it was probably "OK." This is not how government is supposed to work! Do the Republicans have a plan?

CONGRESSMEN WANT HELP FOR IRAQI CHRISTIANS - Congressmen Frank Wolfe (R-VA) and Gary Peters (D-MI) have introduced H. Res 944 calling for a "sense" of the House that Iraqi "religious minorities" be protected and assisted. So far there are 40 co-sponsors of the resolution but more are needed. Please contact your congressman. See text of H. Res 944

CULTURE AND RELIGION
FORENSIC PSYCHIATRIST CONFIRMS THAT LIBERALS ARE NUTS - In his book "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness," Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr. MD confirms the pathology of liberals. He states: "Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded. Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave." Read more
