Future of Our Youth - New Video Available!

For the past twenty years I have spoken out on social issues important to conservative Christians. At around the time of the first anniversary of the 9-11 jihad attack on the United States I was scheduled to speak at a youth rally in Louisiana. The local churches have a tradition of gathering the youth together just before school begins for prayer and to prepare them spiritually for the coming year.

Rather than deliver my usual youth speech, I wanted to give the kids something more. Because I saw the horror of the events of September 11, 2001 first hand, I decided to give a very personal perspective of the jihad attack. I was driving past the Pentagon when American Airlines 77 slammed into it. I applied that experience to the challenge the youth of America face today not only in practical but in spiritual terms.

I closed the message by discussing the three forms of authority under which we live; the authority of the Word of God, the authority of the logic of man and the authority of the iron fist of government. I asked the kids which of those forms of authority guided their lives and challenged them to seek the will of the living God.

Future of Our Youth is not just for kids; indeed, half those present were adults. It is a message I believe can change lives and I urge you to buy a copy for yourself and your church library.
