“While on a fact finding mission to Kosovo I viewed many churches burnt out by “moderate” Albanian Muslims including the centuries old Cathedral of St. George. It therefore comes as no surprise to me that the St. George's Church in Baghdad has been destroyed by more militant Muslims who are a part of the worldwide Jihad to re-establish the Caliphate. Half of the Christians of Iraq, unwelcome in the United States, have now fled to the safe haven of the secular dictatorship in Syria since the US invasion. 

“The instability that has been caused in Iraq by our failed attempt to install a democracy has decimated the Christian community. As chairman of the Religious Freedom Coalition I have urged President George W. Bush to step forward and protect the Christians that have been placed in such grave danger by our actions in Iraq even if the sole solution is to grant immediate asylum to all of them.”
